ChatGPT is often the first AI tool people try, and for good reason.
With the free plan from OpenAI, you can generate blog post ideas, write emails, summarize articles, translate content, or even draft code. It’s a powerful assistant that’s available 24/7, and it’s incredibly user-friendly.
But here’s the truth: asking ChatGPT random questions isn’t enough.
If you want to make money online with AI, you need to radically shift the way you use this tool. I can tell you right now: 95% of people are only tapping into 0.1% of what ChatGPT can do (and I used to be one of them!).
You’ve probably heard about the latest updates. The real magic happens when you give it precise, detailed, and structured prompts.
With the right input, you can literally create entire marketing campaigns, solo. You can build a blog from scratch (even if you’ve never done it before!) just by following the step-by-step instructions it gives you.
It can even write the blog content for you (though, I’ll admit, I still prefer writing it myself… I guess I’m a bit of a nostalgic romantic).
The point is: this isn’t about using ChatGPT or not: at this stage, it’s part of our workflow whether we like it or not.
The real difference lies in learning how to write better prompts.
Once you master this skill, I promise you’ll wonder why you didn’t start sooner.

Start by creating a free account at canva.com (it’s the title link). Use Magic Write inside a doc or presentation to brainstorm social captions or blog intros.
Want to design faster? Try Magic Design to generate layouts for pins, logos, or business cards. You can sell digital products made in Canva (like Pinterest templates or ebook layouts) or offer design services on platforms like Fiverr or Etsy.
With consistency and smart market research, this can be a real way to make money online with AI.
I use Canva to create my pins on Pinterest. Personally, I have the premium version because it gives me access to a lot more features but you can choose based on your current level. If you’re just getting started, the free version will be more than enough.

Leonardo.ai (Free plan)
Want to make money online with AI? Leonardo.ai is a powerful AI image generation tool, great for digital artists, print-on-demand creators, and social media managers.
Sign up at leonardo.ai and access the free credits. Use prompts like “vintage cottagecore cat in a library, watercolor style” to generate artwork for posters, mugs, or digital downloads. You can even create characters or backgrounds for YouTube thumbnails, book covers, or branding visuals.
Export your creations in high resolution and use them commercially, especially if paired with platforms like Redbubble or Gumroad.
